Happy Climate has designed a free workshop that groups from 3 to 300 people can complete from anywhere in about 45-60 minutes. This workshop can be used in organizations, families, church/school groups, university classrooms, or anywhere people who care about the climate come together!

Watch the video

This 15-minute video will introduce you to the science of “sweet spots:” behavior changes that can reduce your carbon footprint AND increase your happiness. We recommend that everyone watch the video together at the beginning of the workshop (alternatively, each person can watch it on their own beforehand). You can download the video here or share this link: https://tinyurl.com/2p8ahhw5

Make an action plan

Break into small teams of 3-4 people. Each team downloads the action plan first and shares it with all team members. Please follow the instructions on the action plan.

Share your plan

Bring everyone back together and invite people to share the goals they tackled--and any questions or challenges that came up. We suggest discussing the following points:

  • What goals (e.g., flying, driving) did people choose to tackle?
  • Did any questions or challenges come up in your teams?
  • Suggest that each person choose an “accountability buddy:” a team member or friend/family member who will check in with them on their progress in 3 months.
  • Consider how small changes each person makes might create a ripple effect, positively shaping the behavior of those around them.

We would be grateful for your feedback to help us improve this workshop. After completing the workshop, please take a moment to submit your feedback here. You can also share the workshop here (twitter, FB, LinkedIn).
